The ETMonline cohort groups meet annually for an ETM orientation. The three-day event is held on the Polytechnic campus of Arizona State University in Mesa, Arizona. The workshops include an introduction to the ETM program, faculty presentations, a hands-on emergency management exercise, field trips to area environmental facilities, and a great guest speaker and dinner.
Students will have an opportunity to meet and interact with the faculty who will be delivering their online courses. Group activities are planned so students can put a “face with a name” when they return home to start the course work in their new virtual classroom.
Students also receive a hands on orientation to become familiar with the technology delivering their online courses. Technical support staff will be available to assist students with setting up their computer accounts for accessing courses and materials.
A student service representative will be on hand to assist first year students with the registration process, payment plans, and introduce the online myETM student services.
